Discount is received based on the total premium of the number of employees or association members.
In the event of an Accidental Death of the insured person, this plan pays out the specified cash benefit as selected by you. Accidental Death means a death caused solely by injury sustained during an accident, which is independent of all other causes, within 90 days after the accident.

Provided that your employees or members of your association are between the age of 18 - 64, are South African citizens (or permanent residents) in possession of a valid ID and employed by you, or are registered members of your association. The cost of this cover depends on:
Dealing with the unexpected death of an employee or association member can be tough and having to contribute towards a funeral can impact your business or association.
The FNB Group Funeral Plan offers lump-sum cover for main members between the age of 18 - 64, and pays out in the event of a death of an employee's spouse or child(ren) under the age of 21. It offers cover for South Africans as well as foreign nationals.
Funeral cover starts from R20 000 to R60 000 with double the cover amount paid out if the main member passes away because of an accident.
There is no need for any medical examinations or underwriting.
Double the cover amount is paid in the event of the insured person's death due to an accident.

To get cover, we will need your employee's or association's members details within 90 days of taking up the plan. Beneficiaries are optional and may be sourced from the employee or association member (except for non-SA citizens, in which case beneficiaries are then required up front). Only individuals may be listed as beneficiaries (organisations, the employer or people related to the employer may NOT be listed as a beneficiary).
Foreign nationals
The insured employee must reside in South Africa and have a valid work permit. A claim will only be valid if death takes place within South African borders. FNB will only pay out to a South African bank account.
