Set up your Debit Order Switching


If you have an active Personal, Business or Easy Account with FNB, you can do your Debit Order Switching right away.

Complete the switching form online and fax the following documents to 0860 566 569:

  1. Certified copy of your ID
  2. Your new FNB account number
  3. Copy of company letterhead (business customers only)

You can also download the form and fax it to 0860 566 569 along with the documents above.

Remember, do not close your old bank account until you have received confirmation that all your debit orders and/or salary have been successfully switched to FNB.

Switch your debit order on the FNB App


  1. Download and open the FNB App

  2. Search for 'Debit order switching' or add it to the home screen by selecting +

  3. Tap on the 'Debit order switching' icon then select 'Get started'

  4. Provide your consent so that we can retrieve your debit orders

  5. Select the debit orders you want to switch from the list provided

  6. If additional information is outstanding on certain debit orders, you will be prompted to provide these details before switching

  7. Select the FNB Account you want to switch the debit order to

  8. Accept the terms and conditions

  9. You have now requested for the debit order to be switched

  10. Select the 'Track my debit order switches' found under the 'Debit order switching' icon to view the progress of your request

What happens if my debit order does not display on the list?

  1. Select 'I can't find my debit order' and provide us with the details

  2. We will provide you with a switch letter to send to your service provider to switch the debit order
